Kevin Diks returns to Vitesse on loan from Fiorentina. The 20-year old signed a contract until the end of the season at his old club.
Kevin Diks returns on loan to Vitesse just 6 months after leaving to Fiorentina. Diks graduated through the Vitesse youth academy and played for Vitesse between 2005 and 2015. The young right-back made a transfer to the Italian side during the previous transfer window, as Vitesse received around €3.000.000 for him. Diks was part of the first squad of Viola, but only played 5 minutes in the Serie A during his first months in Florence. His club has now given Diks the chance to develop himself and get more playing time at his old club. Diks will return to Fiorentina in the summer and is still eager to succeed there.
The signing of Kevin Diks is another boost for the Arnhemmers, who started very well in the second half of the season. The club is set to challenge for the fourth place in the second half of the season and had qualified for the semi-final of the cup for the first in 15 years. Vitesse are hoping to celebrate their 125 anniversary by winning the cup for the first time in its history and we hope Kevin Diks can play an important role in that!
Kevin will play with number 17 this season.
