Sheran Yeini returns to Maccabi Tel-Aviv after 1.5 season at Vitesse. The Israeli joined Vitesse in summer 2015, but failed to become a starter for the Eredivisie side. Yeini now returns to his old club Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

Sheran Yeini leaves Vitesse after 1.5 season at the club. Yeini started his career at Maccabi Tel-Aviv and came to 236 matches for one of the best clubs in Israel. After a spell at Vitesse he will now return to his favourite team. The Israeli is the third player to leave Vitesse during the transfer window after Kosuke Ota and Abiola Dauda. Various newspapers from Israel reported that Maccabi paid around 400.000 euros for their former captain.

The experienced midfielder always worked hard, but failed to become a weekly starter during his spell at the club. Unfortunately for him, Marvelous Nakamba was a tough rival for his position as defensive midfielder. Yeini made 36 appearances for Vitesse in which he scored one goal; a shot from distance against ADO Den Haag in November 2015.  We will remember him as a friendly player, who managed to learn the Dutch language fast, and a player that always worked hard during matches.

We wish Sheran good luck in the rest of his career.
